Wow, this video missed the three biggest attractions in Springfield, Missouri. The Bass Pro Shops headquarters store is in Springfield. It’s the second largest Bass Pro in the country (only after the pyramid in Memphis, TN) and has features not found in the majority of the other stores. One of them is an indoor waterfall ending in the stores largest tank where live fish feedings take place daily with a driver going into the tank to hand feed the fish. You get to watch from an Attached auditorium. Attached to the Bass Pro Shop is the Wonders of Wildlife Museum & Aquarium. This operates separately from the store and does charge admission. Many very interesting exhibits in the museum portion of the building while the aquarium has many different and very large tanks with fish from everywhere. Sharks, rays, tropical fish, seahorses, eels… fish of every type and description. There’s even a “racetrack” of several types of rays where you can touch them as they swim past. The other attraction missed is Hammond’s Field, the home of the Springfield Cardinals, a minor league farm team for the St. Louis Cardinals. There are other attractions as well, but I really don’t understand how they missed these three.
